2024 HANDS-ON-WORKSHOPS
Bucks Woodturners once again presents its Hands-On-Workshops (HOW) taught by its own experienced  members volunteering their time for the educational benefit of our chapter members. There are sessions of  interest that run the gamut from novice to expert and everyone can learn something to expand their  capabilities.

This is the chapter’s major fund-raising event of the year. One hundred percent of the funds (excluding fees  for materials where indicated) are used to provide the interesting and informative programs that benefit our  membership. The workshop donation is $25 for each half day of activity and $40 for each full day of activity.  Our chapter’s most experienced turners have generously opened their shops and are freely giving of their time  so that others may enjoy the pleasure of improving their woodturning skills. Take advantage of this exceptional  opportunity! All dates are in April, May and June of 2024.  Examine the workshop descriptions below and  make your selections ASAP as each is filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

This year we are using Sign Up Genius as the way for members to register for courses. Each course has its own dedicated link listed in the course descriptions below. Please make sure you click the right link for the course you are interested in.  Once you click on the link, scroll down to the section of the page entitled ‘Available Slots’ and click the Student ‘Sign Up’ button.  Participants will only need to provide their name, email and phone number (there is a field in the form for comments, it is not necessary to put anything in that field).  If all of the slots are filled when you sign up, but you are still interested in the class, there is a second button entitled ‘Waitlist’.  If openings occur in a class, we will fill the opened slots with names from the waitlist.  Please see the example signup page that follows for the button locations. 

If you have any questions about the signup, you can contact Les McLaughlin at lrmc135@gmail or, as a last resort, call Les at 215-498-1744. Closing date is 11:59 PM of April 1. After that time, you will be notified of the workshops that you are confirmed to be in and the amount to be sent to Les.  DO NOT SEND A CHECK UNTIL NOTIFIED.

For all courses, participants are required to bring their own safety equipment to the class (eye protection at a minimum, hearing protection and dust masks as necessary for the particular course).
